Located as we are within sight of the Delaware Memorial Bridge, we are reminded daily of our Patroness, St. Catherine of Siena, and her use of The Bridge to symbol-ize Christ. As a bridge is a connector over an otherwise impassible way, so Christ is our way back to the Father.
Christ the WAY: St. Dominic adopted for his new mendicant Order the apostolic way that is Christ. The clash of cultures, of civilizations and opposing views, prevalent today as in St. Dominic’s day, need to be bridged in new ways. We emphasize harmony in common life and building communion through a spirituality of government which calls for a shared responsibility in our life and mission.
Christ the TRUTH: St. Dominic confronted the devastating effects of the Cathars heresy by making study of sacred truth fundamental in the formation of his friars. We are united with our brothers in their work of evangelization first of all by our prayer but also by our own study, bridging the increasing ignorance of Christian truth that characterizes our own era.

Christ the LIFE: St Dominic’s holiness, his life in Christ, shone in his life from his earliest years and even illumined his countenance. We emulate his life in Christ with special care for our personal and liturgical prayer. It is prayer that bridges the spiritual void that separates us from God and one another; it is prayer that heals our divisions and makes peace possible.
