"I have made a bridge of my Word, my only begotten Son" ... Dialogue of St. Catherine of Siena
Life and Mission

As Nuns of the Order of Preachers we live in the heart of the Church the mystery of the Word Incarnate Who enables the human family to enter into the life of the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The monastic way of life witnesses in a special way to this quest for the Absolute which is the call of each person and the destiny of us all. In the ebb and flow of our Dominican life of prayer, study, community and friendship, we strive to answer this call as we walk the journey of life.

We believe that St. Dominic’s vision and mission to preach the Word is as vibrant today as it was 800 years ago. In every century, at every age and moment of time that vision sheds life and light on the world, on the aspirations and dreams of a culture that is forever evolving because its ultimate destiny is greater than itself and is wrapped in the Mystery from which it originates.

In ways compatible with our monastic ways of life, we seek innovative ways to bridge that vision and witness to the reality that the human family and creation itself is a capacity for the Infinite and longs to receive that which will give it purpose, meaning and fulfillment: “The glory of God is man fully alive” (St. Ireneus).
