"I have made a bridge of my Word, my only begotten Son" ... Dialogue of St. Catherine of Siena
November 20, Christ the King

Today’s magnificent end-of-the-year feast shows us what the glorious reign of God is like for ordinary folk like you and me as we encounter it in our every day lives.  We don’t see it now; it is hidden from us – but someday, at the end, we will understand.

Every act of kindness is a manifestation of God’s presence. Every time we reach out to a brother or sister in need we are touching God – and God is touching us. Without realizing it, every kind thought or helping hand extended, every tear wiped away, every selfish impulse checked, is building a better world, a world in which truth and justice, beauty and goodness, will finally overcome all darkness of sin and error.  It has been promised; it will come to be.

Reign, Jesus, always, in our hearts.
